Easy Operation and Easy Maintenance POLYSTAR machines for your recycling business

Since we can produce affordable, easy-to-use, efficient and long-lasting machines, our customers naturally pass on their satisfaction and experiences to other people. So we grow together.

As POLYSTAR, you have 37 years of experience, especially in the recycling sector. Can you tell us about the establishment process of your company and how you became a global brand in this field?

In the journey we started as an OEM manufacturer, our company has grown steadily in a short time and has become a globally recognised brand in the production of plastic recycling machines and blown film extruders under the POLYSTAR brand. Today, we are proud to have installed over 5,000 machines in 110 countries. We owe our success to the close relationships we have established with our customers before and after sales, and to our endeavour to understand their needs and the needs of the sector correctly and to offer solutions. As a result of all these efforts, we are able to produce affordable, easy-to-use, efficient and long-lasting machines, and our customers naturally pass on their satisfaction and experiences to other people. So we grow together.

As a company specialised in recycling machines and blown film extrusion, what are the main factors that distinguish you from your competitors?

In summary, I can say plainness and simplicity. POLYSTAR acts in line with the slogans Recycling Made Simple and Extrusion Made Simple. Of course, it is possible to produce a simple and plain machine that produces a stable and high-quality product with serious labour, knowledge and R&D studies where customer feedback is prioritised. Above all, we emphasise easy operation and easy maintenance when designing our machines. In this way, operators can learn to use our machines efficiently in a short time, whether they have previous experience or not, and can make rapid progress in production. This means a fast return on investment.

Can you tell us about the technological innovations that make your recycling machines user-friendly?

Our machines, which we support with well-known global brand electrical components and energy-saving motors, are manufactured in an integrated structure, customisable according to the needs and combining several operation steps in a single machine. The machines, which require 1-2 operators to operate, are not only user-friendly but also save factory space, time and energy. For example, our machines automatically adjust the granule cutting speed and blade pressure according to the material flow. The aim here is that the granules obtained are oval, equal in size and shape. In conventional systems, this requires considerable operator experience and effort, whereas in our system this happens automatically.

POLYSTAR advanced recycling technologies

Recycling technologies have been developing rapidly in recent years. How does POLYSTAR keep pace with this transformation process?

Our R&D investments, continuous change engineering practices and consultations with our customers continue uninterruptedly. This enables us to adapt quickly and respond to changing technologies and customer needs. For example, in the production of plastics, new material formulations are constantly being tested, or packaging is sometimes produced in more complex ways.

In order to recycle these materials with minimum degradation in the carbon structure, you have to adapt many elements such as material feeding to the machine, regional extruder temperature control, screw - barrel design, plastic melt flow, granule cutting system. Since we have been working with this perspective since the day we were founded, we can adapt to such changes more easily.

What major changes do you expect in the plastic recycling and packaging sectors in the future?

In fact, we are in a process of change that has already begun: Use more recycled materials in plastic packaging and produce recyclable packaging. These practices started as a proposal in most countries and became more widespread with the inclusion of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). Various government incentives are given to recycling facilities and companies that recycle their own production waste, including in Türkiye. I think this will increase even more in the near future.

POLYSTAR helping packaging manufacturers and granulators for recycling

How is POLYSTAR helping packaging manufacturers and granulators with these changes?

This is the main reason why we produce our machines in a user- friendly and recycling-friendly way. Thus, not only granulators but also plastic manufacturers who want to recycle their own fac- tory waste can easily use our machines. The granules, which have minimum distortion in the carbon structure they produce, are also melted by heating evenly from all sides in the production machines as they are of equal shape and size and provide good mixing.

Thus, they can be used directly in plastic production machines (injection moulding, blow moulding and blown film extrusion) or mixed to a large extent with the original raw material. Manu- facturers thus reduce their carbon footprint and save on materials.

Does POLYSTAR have an office or representative office in Türkiye?

Of course. We have a representative office in Turkey as well as worldwide. Mr Emrah Çakır, our representative in Turkey, continues our activities successfully throughout the country in contact with us. You can contact Mr Emrah directly or through our Turkish website for information about our machines and after-sales services.
