At Polystar's booth at K 2025 in Düsseldorf: Expert discussions on efficient recycling solutions and new technologies for plastic processing.
The plastic recycling machines are available for a wide variety of applications – including films, fibers, and hard plastic materials. They are offered as stand-alone solutions as well as turnkey systems integrated into lines that can be equipped with shredders, degassing modules, regranulation units, and many other options depending on requirements. This gives developers a broad range of possibilities to tailor the machines precisely to the needs of the user.
"We have our machines in operation with users in more than 110 countries worldwide," explains David Lo, CMO of the company based in Tainan. "Many companies in Germany and the rest of Europe also rely on the reliability and performance of our machines."

The topic of recycling will remain
David Lo, CMO at Polystar: "We have been attending the K trade fair since 2013 and have repeatedly found it to be a valuable platform for exchange with professionals, users, and interested parties," emphasizes Lo. "What we highly appreciate is the high quality of visitors. And especially for us as an internationally active company, the K offers optimal networking opportunities."
The company's strategy is very long-term oriented. "We see significant differences in how companies approach current market developments," Lo reflects thoughtfully. "But despite all the challenges companies have to overcome – the changes brought about by the globalized market are also a driver of innovation and new solutions, especially with regard to the circular economy. That’s why we are proactively working towards the positive development of recycling markets. The topic of recycling will remain – it is an ongoing challenge for the future!"
The motto "Recycling Made Simple" also means for those responsible at Polystar that recycling machines become easier to operate. "The goal is to make recycling more attractive through a higher degree of automation and thus ensure that energy consumption in recycling machines decreases and, above all, the proportion of reused materials continues to grow," explains Lo. "The market is on a good path with post-industrial materials. We also offer powerful solutions for the post-consumer market – highly integrated turnkey systems that are precisely tailored to each application and can deliver high-quality materials."
Efficient solutions for a wide range of applications
Polystar has the capacity to develop and manufacture precise and high-performance solutions. The developers can draw on a wealth of experience based on numerous successful projects.
The applications are very diverse. Polystar, for example, offers machines for recycling PE/PP plastic films – including heavily printed ones – from various plastic applications, as well as solutions for reprocessing metallized and printed BOPP films, such as from packaging and labeling applications. Polystar developers can also provide practical and efficient solutions for recycling PE/PP pipes, plastic regrind, thermoformed materials such as packaging, trays, containers or cups, laminated films, or drip tapes.

In partnership for the optimal recycling solution
This is the main reason why we produce our machines in a user- friendly and recycling-friendly way. Thus, not only granulators but also plastic manufacturers who want to recycle their own fac- tory waste can easily use our machines. The granules, which have minimum distortion in the carbon structure they produce, are also melted by heating evenly from all sides in the production machines as they are of equal shape and size and provide good mixing.
Thus, they can be used directly in plastic production machines (injection moulding, blow moulding and blown film extrusion) or mixed to a large extent with the original raw material. Manu- facturers thus reduce their carbon footprint and save on materials.
Simplifying Recycling
Interview at K 2025 with David Lo, Chief Marketing Officer, Polystar Machinery Co., Ltd
The interview focused on recycling technologies – Polystar demonstrated how intelligent, user-friendly systems contribute to making production processes more sustainable and efficient. The company also emphasised the relevance of the European market and its vision for a circular plastics industry.
