Polystar: Success in Latin America
2014-04-03
CHILE This April, another 300 kh/h (661 lb/h)HDPE/LDPE film recycling line from Polystar will be installed in Santiago de Chile. This will be the 10th machine installation that Polystar has completed in Chile in 2014.
This one step recycling line is designed specifically for the reprocessing of post-industrial HDPE, LDPE and LLDPE film, both printed and unprinted. The cutter-compactor integration eliminates the need of pre-cutting the material before feeding.
In March, Polystar carried out installations of multiple recycling lines in Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala and Venezuela. In addition to the recycling of packaging films, other material such as PP raffia, PE/PS foam, stretch film, washed film flakes can also be processed efficiently with the same machine. In the same month, Polystar also installed three lines in the United States. The largest line is a 900 kg/h (1984 lb/h) stretch film recycling line situated in Chicago, Illinois.
