Another pelletizing line installed in Indonesia for an outdoor furniture manufacturer

A Polystar 100kg per hour recycling line has been commissioned in Indonesia, for pelletizing PE and PP rigid waste. The Malang-based company is an outdoor furniture manufacturer with over 500 staff and 30 extruders.

The waste is generated in-house from the manufacturing of outdoor furniture.
With the addition of this new pelletizing/recycling line, the company can now turn these waste back into good quality, reusable pellets (granules), and then put it directly back into the extrusion process, for making the products (furniture) again. This significantly reduces cost of raw material while keeping the post-industrial waste inside its own factory, instead of having to send the waste to a nearby recycling center for pelletizing and buy back the ex-factory waste.

Prior to feeding the waste into Polystar's line, the waste material is first processed by a crusher to reduce the rigid waste in size.

The company is based in Singosari, Malang. It first started the business with producing sand cast aluminum furniture. As business started to grow it later on expanded the production range to wicker furniture (using synthetic rattan) and then teak furniture. The company also owns its own cushion manufacturing division, as well as indoor line with wood species of mahogany, pine, eucalyptus in order to maintain good quality products.

The furniture products are exported overseas, mainly to the US, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Netherland, Denmark, Belgium, Australia & Spain.
