Two stages cutter compactor integrated plastic pelletizer for heavily printed film, laminated film, and post-consumer waste.

This plastic pelletizing system includes two extruders, three degassing zones, and two filtration units to enhance filtration and degassing ability. This makes the plastic pelletizer superior to recycle such as heavily printed PE/PP films, multilayer laminated films, humid pre-washed HDPE/PP flakes, and many other post-consumer wastes.

The built-in cutter compactor also helps reduce the moisture and ink of the washed heavily printed and post-consumer materials right before fed into the recycling extruder. Besides, the cutter compactor cuts the materials, pre-heat with friction, and prepares them for the extrusion process in a semi-molten form. Thus, the cutter compactor ensures the consistent material feeding to the recycling extruder to achieve higher and stable pellet output.

  1. Feeding

    • By belt conveyor

      Feeding speed of the scraps is automatically controlled depending on how full the cutter compactor is. Provides easy and consistent material feeding.

    • By Nip roller

      Film-on-rolls can be fed by nip roller at the same time with the belt conveyor and without the requirement of pre-cutting. Nip roller feeding speed is also automatically controlled.

  2. Cutting and compacting

    The built-in cutter compactor cuts, dries, and compacts the material. Then feed the material into the recycling extruder with centrifugal force.

  3. Degassing system

    The two-zone degassing system makes processing heavily printed films, washed film flakes, and rigid flakes possible.

  4. Filtration

    Screen change with a dual channel system allows the machine continue to run during screen change. It provides uninterrupted operation and prevents material waste.

  5. Triple degassing

    In addition to the double degassing in the first extruder, the venting area (the connection between the first and second extruder) serves as a third degassing section to further remove the ink and extra humidity level from the materials.

  6. Second filtration

    The extra filtration on the second extruder allows to obtain purer and better-quality pellets. Therefore, when the pellets are reused in production lines, they ensure more stable production.

  7. Pelletizing

    Hot die face pelletizing system (Water-ring pelletizing system) cuts the plastic melt comes from the extruder into pellet shapes. The rotation speed of the pelletizing knives and the pressure of them to the die head are automatically adjusted. It provides continuous production of uniform size and shape pellets as well as extends the lifespan of the knives and die head.

  8. Final product

    Round-shaped recycled pellets are produced and cooled inside the water ring immediately. The recycled plastic pellets now are ready to back into the production lines immediately such as blown film extrusion and pipe extrusion.
